Baba Bhootnath mandir was established by Baba Bhootnath ji in the 1960’s. The temple has his grace flowing at all times. He was a tantric and an ardent devotee of Ma Kamakhya. After years of shakti sadhana at Kamrup and various jungles in Assam, he came to Lucknow. Baba Bhootnathji then built a sadhana sthal for his sadhana. He also built a temple for presence of various forms of Adishakti.
Bhootnath is a name of Lord Shiva. Baba Bhootnath temple is a Shakti sadhanasthal and the central diety of this temple is Ma Kamakhya, the goddess of Tantra.
